Accept a New Project

The primary reviewer sends an invitation by email asking you to join a project. You can either click on the link in that email, or open https://citap.gov/ in your web browser—both will take you to the same webpage.

Note: Users will not be able to see new projects until they verify their email.

  1. Select “Project Dashboard” (https://citap.gov/projects) from the top menu and scroll to "Pending Invitations."

  1. Click blue button labeled "Accept Project?"
  2. When the "Accept Project?" modal appears, enter your work email and click "Accept."

  1. You must verify your email to see your project. Check your email inbox for a message from noreply@citap.gov. Open the email and click “Verify Email Address.”

  1. Clicking the button will open the CITAP portal. If you are not logged in, you will need to sign in with your credentials.
  2. Once logged in, you will see the confirmation page with the message, "Your email has been successfully verified." Emails only need to be verified once, if you begin a new project, you will not need to re-verify.
  3. Once your email is verified, go to the “Project Dashboard” page and scroll down to “Active Projects.” Click on the project name to being working!

Troubleshooting Email Verification:

1. Check your Spam/Junk folder if you do not see the email.

2. Go to "Profile and Settings" on citap.gov. Scroll to  "Notification Settings" and click “Resend Verification Email.”
