Confidential and Critical Electric Infrastructure Information
Confidential Information
If any of the documents you submit contain information you believe to be confidential and exempt from disclosure, you must follow the regulations in 10 CFR Part 900 to submit two well-marked copies 1) one marked “confidential” that includes all the information believed to be confidential, and 2) another marked “nonconfidential” with the information believed to be confidential deleted or redacted to DOE at citapnotifications@hq.doe.gov. Alternatively, you may use that email address to coordinate submission using a secure file transfer system.
DOE will make its own determination about the confidential status of the information and treat it according to its determination, in accordance with applicable law. Thereafter, DOE will provide instructions on uploading a “nonconfidential” version to the CITAP portal at CITAP.gov.
Please note, pursuant to 10 CFR 1004.11 must request confidential treatment for all material filed with DOE containing location, character, and ownership information about cultural resources. For additional information, please see 10 CFR 900.4(h).
Critical Electric Infrastructure Information (CEII)
Please note, pursuant to 10 CFR 1004.13 if any of the documents you submit contain information you believe to be CEII, you must follow the regulations in 10 CFR 900.4(i) request CEII designation of information.
